Monica and husband Vincent Cassel are planning on sharing the screen once again. No title has been announced for this movie, which is still in pre-production. All we know is that it’s a romantic comedy, and that it will be directed by the couple’s friend Kim Chapiron (director of Sheitan). Filming should start next year.

Italian channel Raiuno has just finished airing the tv special Monica Bellucci: Beauty Is a Mask, and we bring you a great piece of news revealed to interviewer Vincenzo Mollica: even though she clearly stated that she will never write her own biography, Ms. Bellucci is currently working on a project for a book that will contain some of her favourite photos taken during her 20-year-long career as a model/actress. All earnings from the book will go to charity.

Here’s a quick video of Monica and Sophie Marceau walking the red carpet for the Ne Te Retourne Pas premiere in Cannes. Enjoy!

Tonight, at 11 PM, Italian tv channel Raiuno will air a one-hour special about Monica. The special, titled Monica Bellucci: Beauty Is a Mask, will feature an exclusive interview with our beautiful lady. Italian fans should not miss this.

The trailer for the lastest film from Giuseppe Tornatore (director of Malèna) has been released. Monica can be briefly spotted in the trailer, but don’t even blink, ’cause it’s a matter of seconds!

Tornatore’s latest film, Baaria – La Porta del Vento, will open this year’s Venice Film Festival with its world premiere. Monica plays a very small role in the movie (it actually feels more like a cameo), so we can’t be certain she’s going to attend the event.

Ms. Bellucci will star in a brand new French movie project, whose temporary title is J’Ai Gardé les Anges. The film is being directed by Philippe Garrel and co-starring is director’s son Louis Garrel (The Dreamers). Nothing has been revealed yet about the plot or setting. Shooting will start in 2010.
