Rumors continue to swirl regarding Monica Bellucci’s possible second pregnancy. No official word if the actress is pregnant with her second child with husband Vincent Cassel, but in the last days there have been many reports going around: an interview with Monica’s mother Brunella Briganti was featured on Italian tabloid Tutto In at the beginning of december - «I’m not going to make the first announcement, if she is [pregnant] she will announce herself» said Briganti. Monica’s rep also was mum about, stating that: «it’s too early, I can’t confirm [the rumour]. If she is pregnant, we’ll [let you know] later. You know you can never tell with things like these».

But today, French newspaper Le Journal du Dimanche is reporting that Monica has broken the news to her entourage these days, as the baby’s arrival is expected in May 2010. [Source]

Rumour: Romania’s Woman Of The Year?

Some Romanian websites are reporting that Monica Bellucci will be awarded as Woman of the Year 2009 in a special ceremony hosted by Olympic medalist Elisabeta Lipa that will take place at the Caro Hotel in Bucharest, on December 20th. No further news about the event for now, but let’s hope to find out more soon!

Monica to visit Bulgaria next year

According to website Sofia OGGI, Ms. Bellucci might be visiting Bulgaria next year in order to attend the Karin Models contest in Varna, during the month of August. This is just a rumour, so nothing’s certain yet.

Also, Monique got invited to join the cast of a new movie (the title is Segno di Dio, based on the novel by Ilia Velchev) that will be shooting in Bulgaria as well.

Is Monica Bellucci pregnant?

According to some romanian websites (including Mediafax), Ms. Bellucci is expecting baby #2 with husband Vincent Cassel. The actress has broken the news she is three months pregnant to her colleagues on the set of The Whistleblowers which she is shooting right now in Bucharest with Rachel Weisz and Vanessa Redgrave.

Monique to star in The Whistleblowers?

According to this article, our beautiful and talented Monica will be starring in a new movie project alongside Oscar winner Rachel Weisz (The Constant Gardener, Constantine), Vanessa Redgrave (Evening, Atonement), David Strathairn (Good Night, and Good Luck, The Bourne Ultimatum) and Serbian actor Sergej Trifunovic.

The title of this new film is The Whistleblowers, which is a slang word for those who cause uproar. It will be directed by Larysa Kondracki, a young director and script writer from Ukraine. It is based on a true story, and follows the life of Kathryn (played by Rachel Weisz), a clerk employed in the UN in Bosnia during the war. She discovers what is happening on the so-called Arizona market, the base of KFOR, on the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina, where bracelets and discs are sold during the day, while at night its main activity consists in human trafficking for the whole region. The UN soldiers earn a significant sum of money for their share in that business. As a reward, Kathryn gets “fired”, and the whole case is hidden from the public eye. Trifunovic plays the role of a Bosnian policeman, the only person willing to help her.

Although at this time we can not confirm the news, it definitely seems like a very interesting project. Plus, the cast is really awsome. It will be nice to see Monica working on screen with A-list stars such as Weisz, Redgrave and Strathairn.

Rumours: no Rome Film Festival for Monica Bellucci

Italian medias are reporting that Mrs. Bellucci won’t show up at the Rome Film Festival on october 16, to promote Franco Zeffirelli’s Omaggio a Roma. Instead, according to the schedule she is going to stay in Sydney, where the filming of Get It At Goode’s should begin this month.

Monique’s new projects!

According to Variety, our beautiful Monica will take part to a new movie directed by Bruce Beresford. The title of this new project – whose shooting will start in October – is The Women in Black. Miranda Otto and Guy Pearce are also part of the cast. The film takes place in a high-fashion salon of a department store in 1960, involving a group of sales ladies and their families. The arrival of a young Italian woman (Bellucci) will initiate change at the store.

Italian magazine Chi announced that, right after her attendance at Cannes Film Festival, Ms. Bellucci will fly to the US in order to play a role in The Sorcerer’s Apprentice, starring Nicolas Cage.

Ms. Bellucci at Sanremo Music Festival: it’s almost official

Italian presenter Paolo Bonolis confirmed that our Monique will be one of the 5 female beauties who will help him host this year’s Sanremo Music Festival (Feb. 17 – Feb. 21). Let’s keep our fingers crossed!

Monica Bellucci to host Sanremo Music Festival

According to Italian television critic and blogger Davide Maggio, Ms. Bellucci’s rep has just confirmed that the actress will be hosting the next Italian music festival of Sanremo, opening on February 17. If this is true, Monica Bellucci is going to host the show with famous presenter Paolo Bonolis for one of the four shows that will take place in the city of Sanremo. The event, as usual, will be airing on Italian tv.

An official statement is expected in the next hours.
